In less than 30 minutes, Ian MacKaye, Lyle Preslar, Brian Baker, and Jeff Nelson laid down the absolute blueprint for the genre. Playing with unprecedented velocity and precision, they also unwittingly launched a global subculture with the 46 second anthem "Straight Edge."
